TV Wire Concealment in Austin

A mounted TV with a cord dangling underneath looks half-finished. There are two clean fixes: route the wires inside the wall for $65, or run a slim paintable channel over the surface for $30. We will tell you which one your wall wants.

Wall-mounted TV with no visible wires in an Austin living room

How we do it

Behind the wall, $65

A recessed outlet behind the TV, in-wall rated cable down the stud bay, and a plate behind your console. Nothing visible at all.

Outside the wall, $30

For brick, concrete, or walls that cannot be fished: a low-profile channel, cut to length and paintable to match.

Done to code

Power gets a proper in-wall receptacle. We never bury an extension cord in a wall, because that is a fire hazard and an inspection failure.

Everything in one chase

HDMI, ethernet, optical, soundbar cables all ride the same path.

FAQ

Wire Concealment questions

What does it cost to hide TV wires?

Behind the wall is $65 as part of a mounting job. A surface channel is $30. If your wall already has a plug behind the TV, hiding the remaining cables costs nothing extra.

Does in-wall concealment damage the wall?

Two plate-sized openings that the plates themselves cover. There is nothing to repaint on a normal install.

Can you do it on exterior walls?

Usually. Insulated walls take longer to fish, and if it cannot be done cleanly we switch to the channel.

Is this up to code?

Yes. In-wall rated cable and a real receptacle behind the TV. No extension cords inside walls, ever.
